The message of this article is not that persons with a homosexual orientation are intrinsically evil or immoral people; but rather that, like all heterosexuals, they are "flawed". You'll notice in the article that follows that about 90% of all abuse vicitims are male, not female, and that something like 80 or 90% of them have been post-pubescent. This is noteworthy for those who perceive this issue to be a "pedophile" problem. What's actually happened is something that is obviously equally wrong but also substantively different from pedophilia in most of the cases. The post-pubescent and male status of most of the victims points toward priests who essentially have had a developmental void they tried to fill by engaging in an inappropriate relationship/behavior, not, strictly speaking in "pathological" behavior (which pedophilia is).
